Save the Family Farm is a grassroots coalition of Oregon’s ag community members.

We were founded by Shelly Boshart Davis, a small-town farm girl, in 2023 to advocate for the livelihoods of farmers and ranchers and stand up to politicians for the right to farm.

Shelly’s family grows hazelnuts, grass seed, and custom bales grass straw for export. But lately, farmers around the state have felt the impacts of heavy-handed regulation and taxes. Many family farms are shutting down because Oregon makes it too hard to earn a living and remain competitive. We’ve got to act now while we still have time to reverse this trend.

Save the Family Farm will provide critical information about the state of Oregon agriculture and advocate for better elected leaders and policies to defend our right to farm and increase opportunities for our incredible agricultural industry here in Oregon!
